# Acronis Cyber Files vs ShareFile®

The clearest difference is monetization model: Acronis Cyber Files at free against ShareFile®'s freemium. Acronis Cyber Files also leads on review sentiment (52% vs 36%). ShareFile®'s advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (242 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShareFile® holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShareFile® has 242 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Acronis Cyber Files's written reviews are positive against 36% of ShareFile®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Acronis Cyber Files ships an update every 5 months, ShareFile® every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
