# Payrollguru vs Union Worx

The clearest difference is price: Union Worx at Free against Payrollguru's $4.99. Union Worx also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 12 months). Payrollguru's advantage is chart position (#13 vs unranked) and review sentiment (39% vs 28%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Union Worx is free to download; Payrollguru costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Union Worx holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Union Worx has 882 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Payrollguru's written reviews are positive against 28% of Union Worx's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Payrollguru ships an update every 12 months, Union Worx weekly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
