# Rota Calendar vs Twincle

The clearest difference is price: Rota Calendar at Free against Twincle's $1.99. Rota Calendar also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (731 vs 2). Twincle's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (100% vs 65%). On rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Rota Calendar is free to download; Twincle costs $1.99 up front. Rota Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Twincle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rota Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rota Calendar has 731 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Rota Calendar's written reviews are positive against 100% of Twincle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rota Calendar ships an update every 5 days, Twincle every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
