# Ski Dice vs SmoothSwing

The clearest difference is price: SmoothSwing at Free against Ski Dice's $2.99. SmoothSwing also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (11K vs 1). Ski Dice's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 50%) and chart position (#70 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

SmoothSwing is free to download; Ski Dice costs $2.99 up front. Ski Dice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SmoothSwing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmoothSwing holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmoothSwing has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Ski Dice's written reviews are positive against 50% of SmoothSwing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ski Dice ships an update every 4 weeks, SmoothSwing monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
