# Ski Dice vs Mountain Project

The clearest difference is price: Mountain Project at Free against Ski Dice's $2.99. Mountain Project also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). Ski Dice's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 36%) and chart position (#149 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Mountain Project is free to download; Ski Dice costs $2.99 up front. Ski Dice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mountain Project asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mountain Project holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mountain Project has 4.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Ski Dice's written reviews are positive against 36% of Mountain Project's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
