# OnCampus vs OpenLitterMap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OpenLitterMap at 83% against OnCampus's 36%. OpenLitterMap also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). OnCampus's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OnCampus holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of OnCampus's written reviews are positive against 83% of OpenLitterMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OnCampus ships an update every 6 weeks, OpenLitterMap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
