# Trane® Home vs Recorda

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Trane® Home at 153K against Recorda's 1. Trane® Home also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and device support. Recorda's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Recorda holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trane® Home has 153K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Trane® Home ships an update monthly, Recorda every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
