# Recipe Search vs Cookbook Master

The clearest difference is rating: Recipe Search at 5.0 against Cookbook Master's 4.4. Recipe Search also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Cookbook Master's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (30 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cookbook Master sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month. Recipe Search asks for nothing beyond the download.

Recipe Search holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cookbook Master has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Recipe Search's written reviews are positive against 70% of Cookbook Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Recipe Search ships an update every 3 weeks, Cookbook Master monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
