# READING MAGIC 2 vs Inference Ace

The clearest difference is rating: READING MAGIC 2 at 4.8 against Inference Ace's 3.6. Inference Ace's advantage is update cadence (every 7 months vs every 19 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. READING MAGIC 2 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Inference Ace sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

READING MAGIC 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of READING MAGIC 2's written reviews are positive against 89% of Inference Ace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

READING MAGIC 2 ships an update every 19 months, Inference Ace every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
