# VOM App vs SBTC

The clearest difference is ads: SBTC at none against VOM App's shown. SBTC also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). VOM App's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for VOM App against 5.0 for SBTC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VOM App has 4.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VOM App ships an update every 5 months, SBTC every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
