# Fraction Circles vs SPELLING MAGIC 3

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SPELLING MAGIC 3 at 80% against Fraction Circles's 25%. SPELLING MAGIC 3 also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). Fraction Circles's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.9) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPELLING MAGIC 3 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fraction Circles asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fraction Circles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPELLING MAGIC 3 has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Fraction Circles's written reviews are positive against 80% of SPELLING MAGIC 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fraction Circles ships an update every 12 months, SPELLING MAGIC 3 every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
