# Kami Typing! Typing trainer vs Alpha Speed

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Alpha Speed at none against Kami Typing! Typing trainer's 8. Alpha Speed also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Kami Typing! Typing trainer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kami Typing! Typing trainer sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Alpha Speed asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kami Typing! Typing trainer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kami Typing! Typing trainer has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Kami Typing! Typing trainer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Alpha Speed's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kami Typing! Typing trainer ships an update every 5 days, Alpha Speed every 10 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
