# TonePrint vs EHX NYC

The clearest difference is rating: TonePrint at 2.6 against EHX NYC's 2.3. TonePrint also leads on ratings volume (181 vs 7). EHX NYC's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TonePrint holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TonePrint has 181 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of TonePrint's written reviews are positive against 30% of EHX NYC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TonePrint ships an update every 3 months, EHX NYC every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
