# Phupp vs Xermius

The clearest difference is update cadence: Xermius at every 5 days against Phupp's every 5 weeks. Phupp's advantage is iOS requirement (8.1 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phupp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Xermius sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Phupp ships an update every 5 weeks, Xermius every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
