# Why? 과학 vs Daily Philosophy

The clearest difference is rating: Why? 과학 at 4.0 against Daily Philosophy's 1.0. Why? 과학 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Daily Philosophy's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 22%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Why? 과학 sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Daily Philosophy sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Why? 과학 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Why? 과학's written reviews are positive against 50% of Daily Philosophy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Why? 과학 ships an update monthly, Daily Philosophy every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
