# NYC Media vs Themaxhyped

The clearest difference is rating: NYC Media at 5.0 against Themaxhyped's 4.4. NYC Media also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Themaxhyped's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NYC Media holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of NYC Media's written reviews are positive against 100% of Themaxhyped's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
