# Widget skins 17 vs WidgetPack

The clearest difference is update cadence: WidgetPack at every 2 weeks against Widget skins 17's every 2 months. WidgetPack also leads on rating (3.7 vs 3.4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Widget skins 17's advantage is ratings volume (66 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widget skins 17 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and WidgetPack sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WidgetPack holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widget skins 17 has 66 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Widget skins 17's written reviews are positive against 75% of WidgetPack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widget skins 17 ships an update every 2 months, WidgetPack every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
