# Geometry ® vs StudyPug

The clearest difference is monetization model: Geometry ® at free with in-app purchases against StudyPug's subscription. Geometry ® also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). StudyPug's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 229). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Geometry ® sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and StudyPug sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Geometry ® against 4.7 for StudyPug. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StudyPug has 2.1K ratings behind it against 229, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Geometry ®'s written reviews are positive against 59% of StudyPug's.

Geometry ® ships an update every 9 months, StudyPug every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
