# Metronome+ vs VisualForte

The clearest difference is rating: VisualForte at 5.0 against Metronome+'s 4.5. VisualForte also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Metronome+'s advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metronome+ sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and VisualForte sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VisualForte holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metronome+ has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Metronome+ ships an update every 6 weeks, VisualForte weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
