# Band Radios vs BTV Online

The clearest difference is monetization model: Band Radios at free against BTV Online's subscription. Band Radios also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months) and review sentiment (8% vs 0%). BTV Online's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 2.2). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BTV Online holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Band Radios's written reviews are positive against 0% of BTV Online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Band Radios ships an update every 3 months, BTV Online every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
