# ShareFile® vs Citrix Files for XenMobile

The clearest difference is monetization model: Citrix Files for XenMobile at free against ShareFile®'s freemium. Citrix Files for XenMobile also leads on rating (3.8 vs 3.5) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.6). ShareFile®'s advantage is ratings volume (242 vs 14). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Citrix Files for XenMobile holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShareFile® has 242 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of ShareFile®'s written reviews are positive against 33% of Citrix Files for XenMobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ShareFile® ships an update every 6 weeks, Citrix Files for XenMobile monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
