# Tableau Mobile vs BI Office

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BI Office at 100% against Tableau Mobile's 26%. BI Office also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs freemium). Tableau Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BI Office holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tableau Mobile has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Tableau Mobile's written reviews are positive against 100% of BI Office's.

Tableau Mobile ships an update every 5 weeks, BI Office every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
