# IMSeye vs Guard Viewer

The clearest difference is rating: IMSeye at 3.7 against Guard Viewer's 2.8. IMSeye also leads on iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 8.0). Guard Viewer's advantage is ratings volume (220 vs 18). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IMSeye holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guard Viewer has 220 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of IMSeye's written reviews are positive against 24% of Guard Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IMSeye ships an update every 5 weeks, Guard Viewer every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
