# PrayerMate vs BePresent

The clearest difference is ads: PrayerMate at none against BePresent's shown. PrayerMate also leads on review sentiment (94% vs 69%) and device support (3 vs 1). BePresent's advantage is ratings volume (71K vs 424) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrayerMate sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BePresent sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for PrayerMate against 4.8 for BePresent. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BePresent has 71K ratings behind it against 424, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of PrayerMate's written reviews are positive against 69% of BePresent's.

PrayerMate ships an update fortnightly, BePresent every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
