# Filmic Pro－Video Camera vs Carousel Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Filmic Pro－Video Camera at 3.7 against Carousel Camera's 2.7. Filmic Pro－Video Camera also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 3) and chart position (#170 vs unranked). Carousel Camera's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 34%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Filmic Pro－Video Camera sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Carousel Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Filmic Pro－Video Camera holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Filmic Pro－Video Camera has 10K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Filmic Pro－Video Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of Carousel Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filmic Pro－Video Camera ships an update every 3 weeks, Carousel Camera every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
