# MIM vs Flight Sim Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: MIM at free with in-app purchases against Flight Sim Tracker's subscription. MIM also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 1). Flight Sim Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MIM sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Flight Sim Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for MIM against 5.0 for Flight Sim Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MIM has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of MIM's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flight Sim Tracker's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
