# GMAT ® vs GMAT Exam Prep

The clearest difference is update cadence: GMAT Exam Prep at fortnightly against GMAT ®'s every 11 months. GMAT ®'s advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GMAT ® sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and GMAT Exam Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GMAT ® ships an update every 11 months, GMAT Exam Prep fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
