# BalticMaps vs Trafi

The clearest difference is rating: Trafi at 4.3 against BalticMaps's 3.7. Trafi also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). BalticMaps's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BalticMaps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Trafi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trafi holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trafi has 221 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
