# Pacsun vs Cotton On

Pacsun and Cotton On both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 48% of Pacsun's written reviews are positive against 12% of Cotton On's. Pacsun also leads on ratings volume (67K vs 5.4K) and chart position (#138 vs unranked). Cotton On's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Pacsun against 4.7 for Cotton On. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pacsun has 67K ratings behind it against 5.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Pacsun's written reviews are positive against 12% of Cotton On's.

Pacsun ships an update every 5 weeks, Cotton On every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
