# Cyclotron vs Simple Paint AR

The clearest difference is rating: Cyclotron at 4.6 against Simple Paint AR's 3.0. Cyclotron also leads on ratings volume (154 vs 2) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 18.0). Simple Paint AR's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 16 months) and review sentiment (80% vs 61%). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Cyclotron costs $1.99 and Simple Paint AR $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cyclotron holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cyclotron has 154 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Cyclotron's written reviews are positive against 80% of Simple Paint AR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cyclotron ships an update every 16 months, Simple Paint AR every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
