# German Dictionary vs HolidaysList2

The clearest difference is rating: German Dictionary at 4.5 against HolidaysList2's 4.0. German Dictionary also leads on ratings volume (234 vs 1). HolidaysList2's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. German Dictionary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. HolidaysList2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

German Dictionary holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: German Dictionary has 234 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of German Dictionary's written reviews are positive against 100% of HolidaysList2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

German Dictionary ships an update every 4 months, HolidaysList2 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
