# iTouch Remote Free vs Touch Portal

The clearest difference is rating: Touch Portal at 4.5 against iTouch Remote Free's 4.0. Touch Portal also leads on ratings volume (811 vs 3). iTouch Remote Free's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (80% vs 55%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Touch Portal sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. iTouch Remote Free asks for nothing beyond the download.

Touch Portal holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Touch Portal has 811 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of iTouch Remote Free's written reviews are positive against 55% of Touch Portal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
