# CommHQ vs AVID Event

The clearest difference is rating: AVID Event at 5.0 against CommHQ's 2.7. CommHQ's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AVID Event holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CommHQ has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CommHQ ships an update every 2 months, AVID Event every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
