# Vy vs Safer Traffic

The clearest difference is rating: Safer Traffic at 5.0 against Vy's 2.9. Safer Traffic also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Vy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (40 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Safer Traffic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Vy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Safer Traffic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vy has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vy ships an update every 10 days, Safer Traffic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
