# iScape vs Glidden

iScape and Glidden both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Glidden's written reviews are positive against 22% of iScape's. Glidden also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). iScape's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 534). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iScape sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Glidden asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for iScape against 4.6 for Glidden. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iScape has 29K ratings behind it against 534, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 22% of iScape's written reviews are positive against 64% of Glidden's.
