# iScape vs Ruler∘

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ruler∘ at none against iScape's 7. Ruler∘ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 22%). iScape's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 44) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iScape sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Ruler∘ asks for nothing beyond the download.

iScape holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iScape has 29K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of iScape's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ruler∘'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iScape ships an update every 3 weeks, Ruler∘ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
