# TXU Energy vs CubeSmart Self

The clearest difference is rating: TXU Energy at 2.5 against CubeSmart Self's 2.2. TXU Energy also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 83). CubeSmart Self's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 12%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TXU Energy holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TXU Energy has 1.6K ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of TXU Energy's written reviews are positive against 20% of CubeSmart Self's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TXU Energy ships an update monthly, CubeSmart Self every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
