# PING vs TrackMan Golf Pro

The clearest difference is rating: TrackMan Golf Pro at 3.9 against PING's 2.0. TrackMan Golf Pro also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). PING's advantage is ratings volume (93 vs 24) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TrackMan Golf Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 93 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of PING's written reviews are positive against 27% of TrackMan Golf Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PING ships an update every 3 months, TrackMan Golf Pro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
