# DayTime vs Sundown

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DayTime at 153 against Sundown's 9. DayTime also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). Sundown's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayTime sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 6 months and Sundown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for DayTime against 4.7 for Sundown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DayTime has 153 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DayTime ships an update every 2 months, Sundown every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
