# Azimuth Maps vs Coordinates

The clearest difference is rating: Coordinates at 4.6 against Azimuth Maps's 1.0. Coordinates also leads on ratings volume (6.7K vs 1). Azimuth Maps's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coordinates sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Azimuth Maps asks for nothing beyond the download.

Coordinates holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
