# Micro Panda vs Shrink Roll

The clearest difference is rating: Micro Panda at 4.8 against Shrink Roll's 2.6. Shrink Roll's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 92%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Micro Panda holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Micro Panda's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shrink Roll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Micro Panda ships an update every 5 months, Shrink Roll every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
