# Stop Motion Studio vs iZoomViewer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iZoomViewer at none against Stop Motion Studio's 1. iZoomViewer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and device support (5 vs 3). Stop Motion Studio's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 50%) and ratings volume (82K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stop Motion Studio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. iZoomViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

iZoomViewer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stop Motion Studio has 82K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Stop Motion Studio's written reviews are positive against 50% of iZoomViewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stop Motion Studio ships an update every 2 weeks, iZoomViewer monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
