# Yandex Mail vs Sanatorium

Yandex Mail and Sanatorium both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of Sanatorium's written reviews are positive against 47% of Yandex Mail's. Sanatorium also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 17) and ads (none vs shown). Yandex Mail's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 7) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yandex Mail sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Sanatorium asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yandex Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yandex Mail has 16K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Yandex Mail's written reviews are positive against 87% of Sanatorium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yandex Mail ships an update every 10 days, Sanatorium every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
