# TV PRIMETIME vs TV Pro TV

The clearest difference is monetization model: TV Pro TV at free with in-app purchases against TV PRIMETIME's subscription. TV Pro TV also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (83 vs 3). TV PRIMETIME's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV PRIMETIME sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and TV Pro TV sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for TV PRIMETIME against 4.6 for TV Pro TV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Pro TV has 83 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of TV PRIMETIME's written reviews are positive against 90% of TV Pro TV's.

TV PRIMETIME ships an update every 3 months, TV Pro TV weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
