# Open’er ‘26 vs RA Guide

The clearest difference is monetization model: Open’er ‘26 at free against RA Guide's free with in-app purchases. RA Guide's advantage is ratings volume (8.2K vs 3) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RA Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RA Guide has 8.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Open’er ‘26's written reviews are positive against 52% of RA Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Open’er ‘26 ships an update every 5 weeks, RA Guide every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
