# Brainscape vs Flashcards Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Brainscape at 4.8 against Flashcards Maker's 3.9. Brainscape also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (21K vs 253). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainscape sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Flashcards Maker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
