# Brainscape vs Amazing Flash Cards

The clearest difference is update cadence: Amazing Flash Cards at every 4 days against Brainscape's every 3 weeks. Amazing Flash Cards also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Brainscape's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 1.4K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainscape sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Amazing Flash Cards sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Brainscape against 4.8 for Amazing Flash Cards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainscape has 22K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
