# Brainscape vs Memorize Flash Card Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Brainscape at 4.8 against Memorize Flash Card Maker's 3.7. Brainscape also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (21K vs 3). Memorize Flash Card Maker's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainscape sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Memorize Flash Card Maker sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainscape holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainscape has 21K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Brainscape's written reviews are positive against 100% of Memorize Flash Card Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brainscape ships an update every 3 weeks, Memorize Flash Card Maker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
