# Brainscape vs MRI MASTER

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Brainscape at 21K against MRI MASTER's 48. Brainscape also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainscape sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and MRI MASTER sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brainscape holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brainscape has 21K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Brainscape's written reviews are positive against 74% of MRI MASTER's.

Brainscape ships an update every 3 weeks, MRI MASTER every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
