# iAquaLink vs Gemstone Lights

iAquaLink and Gemstone Lights both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Gemstone Lights's written reviews are positive against 28% of iAquaLink's. Gemstone Lights also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). iAquaLink's advantage is ratings volume (101K vs 4.6K) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gemstone Lights holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iAquaLink has 101K ratings behind it against 4.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of iAquaLink's written reviews are positive against 88% of Gemstone Lights's.

iAquaLink ships an update every 2 months, Gemstone Lights fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
